It All Began When I got "The Call."
I still remember it like it was yesterday. I was sitting in the carpool line, waiting to pick up my kids, when my doctor called me.
She told me that my recent testing showed cervical cancer, and that she was going to send me to a Gynecology Cancer Specialist to have more testing and a probable hysterectomy.
Wait...whaaat?!?
Morning affirmations, digestive detox tonic, avo toast + eggs, morning walk with the dog after carpool, and slathering on the sunscreen.
Cooking in the kitchen, on coaching calls with my awesome clients, relaxing on the beach, or at a regatta with my kids.
Gossip, cheap wine, being busy "just because", or complicating things that can be done simply.
Straight talk, laughing until my belly hurts, short emails, science backed info, and cutting out the 'meh' to make room for the very best.
Over and over, friends and family were asking "what are you doing?"...and "How do you have so much energy?" I realized that the lifestyle changes I was making were truly making an impact on my overall wellness. I had more energy, less bloat, and was sleeping better than ever before. I knew in that moment, that I couldn't keep this a secret any longer.
Simplicity was the name of the game when it came to creating the foundations for what is now my 5M Method to achieve true total health. I know that lack of time + information overload are two of the biggest roadblocks to making nutrition + lifestyle shifts...and my coaching addresses both.
I help women break free of burnout + help them get back to feeling like a BOSS in their body.
By simplifying nutrition + creating lifestyle changes that actually stick, my clients THRIVE without thinking!
This was in 2018. At the time, I was successfully practicing as a Physician Assistant for 13 years, my kids were 6 and 8 years old, and I thought I was living a "healthy" life. What followed this phone call was 2 months of testing, procedures, and ultimately a radical hysterectomy with lymph node removal. What ALSO followed, was a year filled with stress, anxiety, and inevitable burnout.
I realized that things needed to change if I was going to recover and be healthy again. I dove head-first into my B.S. science background, which focused on nutrition and physiology, and started to tap back into the true root of wellness. During that year, I found my true mission in life...
